Backlog: The best way to manage your projects. Wiki, tasks, files all in one place. This is like taking good parts of JIRA and Trello, combined into one tool. You can start for free.

Square: You might have already used Square before – but the company offers a wide range of payment solutions to get your business off the ground, from card payment to invoice to ecommerce.

Business idea: Baton – Uber for Recruiters.

Hiring great talent is always hard – it’s harder if you don’t have brand awareness. But working with recruiters is very costly. Wouldn’t it be great if we can have better, more affordable & flexible recruiters? Meet Baton.

Baton is Uber for recruiters. Anyone can join as a recruiter with a simple process, check the list of jobs companies posted, and introduce their friends to the open positions. If companies hire the referee, they get commissions.

Baton will take care of filtering the referrals and facilitating communications between companies and talent. Baton can lower the fee to companies because sourcing comes from individuals vs professionals – like Uber’s pricing is lower than traditional cabs.

Marketplaces for recruiters already exist, but there’s no clear winner yet. It takes operational excellence and sales expertise to get the demands and supplies of the marketplace right. Baton differentiates itself by attracting a broader audience to be a recruiter.

Baton is also good for hiring talent from diverse backgrounds, thanks to the crowdsourced recruiters worldwide. These new types of recruiters also introduce talent that doesn’t fit the “traditional” profile, which would give you a delightful surprise
