Backlog: The best way to manage your projects. Wiki, tasks, files all in one place. This is like taking good parts of JIRA and Trello, combined into one tool. You can start for free.

Square: You might have already used Square before – but the company offers a wide range of payment solutions to get your business off the ground, from card payment to invoice to ecommerce.

Business idea: Bookshelf.co – Company Bookshelves.

One of the best ways to build a strong company culture is by sharing a vision.

And to share a vision, having a common knowledge base – i.e. what your company reads – is a great starting point.

Bookshelf.co helps you to streamline the process.

Bookshelf.co has two roles: First, managers can post book recommendations based on their preferences.

Second, employees can browse the list of and purchase the books with one-click.

Bookshelf.co takes care of the rest: ordering/shipping the book, sending an expense report, etc.

Managers can also upload PDFs such as latest industry reports or company culture books like Zappos and Netflix do. [1] [2]

Additionally, they can organize a company reading club to bond teammates with convenient community features like weekly gatherings, learning updates, etc.

Companies can optionally share their bookshelf publicly: This would attract potential candidates, create and be good for employee branding.

“I always enjoy reading others’ lists and browsing their bookshelves.” – Patrick Collison

Regarding monetization, a monthly subscription would fit well for Bookshelf.co. (Target $500-5000 ARR depending on the client size)

As the demands for employee satisfaction and career building keep increasing, Bookshelf.co could get attention from many companies large and small.
